UDA Black Squad vs. Manchester City Development Squad at the MCFC Training Center
Result: UDA Black 4, Manchester City Development Squad 1
(Goal Scorers: Martinez 2, Scoggins, Melo)
Academy Director, Coach Joel Roberts described the UDA Black's squad win against the Manchester City Community side well deserved and a “fantastic team performance”.
Coach Roberts Match Report
Straight from the whistle UDA got on the front foot. MCFC Development played a high back line and our midfield soon realized this, playing intelligent balls through the lines. Ezra Heath and Alex Meyers bossing the middle.
It wasn't long before pressure told and Joe Martinez slotted ball home to make it 1-0. A well-taken goal. MCFC came more into the game but the back four looked strong and composed. Good work down the right from Myles Williams and Willie Banks nearly leading to another goal. MCFC then had a player fouled in the area but the referee allowed, play on. UDA were lucky to get away with that. Then UDA broke up the other end and Seth Scoggins calmly places in corner to make it 2-0.

The second half saw half MCFC came fast out of the blocks to pull a goal back to bring the score to 2-1. However, UDA Black's countered quickly and a great team move resulted in Joe Martinez getting his second goal of the game.
Third goal was a fantastic team goal to make it 3-1 with several combinations. A great solo run by Myke Melo brought about the fourth goal; Myke cut into the box from the right and was brought down in the area. A clear penalty. Melo stepped up and coolly placed it past the keeper to make it 4-1
There were a few chances either end for both teams but UDA ran out deserving winners.

Coach McCarthy's Report
Result UDA Blues 3 Morecambe FC Development Squad 1
(Goal Scorers: Jackson Padilla; Jack Regan (Pen); Michael Gilligan)
The UDA Blues playing at Chester was buoyed by news just prior to kick off that the UDA Black squad had won earlier in the day 4-1 versus Manchester City FC Development.
UDA started confidently and were determined to achieve the second win of the day. Very pleasing technical performance, full of excellent combination play showing great awareness to exploit space between the lines. UDA Soccer were dominant in terms of possession throughout the game.
However some tactical naivety and an aggressive positive attacking approach by their full backs led to an early setback as Morecambe exploited space in centre of back line to take the lead early on.
Unphased, UDA Blues continued to play neat, attractive passing football and carved out a series of goal scoring opportunities. Ragen and McCarthy secured a lot of possession and Padilla, Rowe, Brisbon, Kinnelakis, Ramirez were a constant threat. It was Padilla who calmly equalized on the stroke half time after interchange between Rowe and Kinnelakis provided him with the opportunity.
UDA should have led at half time after the best move of the match led to a cross from Rowe that another blue shirt couldn’t get final touch to turn it into the net.
